Movie - Bullet Train

Post by Brian »

Saw it Saturday night.

I enjoyed it. It didn't blow me away or anything but it was an enjoyable enough romp.

While it had a lot of twists and turns, none of them really made me go, "wow, I did not see that coming!"
Most of the twists/reveals just ended up with an, 'Ok. I guess that makes sense."

Couple of cameos that were utterly predictable but they didn't bother me as much as it did one of my friends.

I think it did do a good enough job of making the characters somewhat sympathetic despite being basically awful people.

Also, I did not recognize Aaron Taylor-Johnson (who plays Tangerine in this) as the guy who played Kick Ass.

Wife and I watched it last night and quite enjoyed it.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

I enjoyed it as well. At first I was rolling my eyes, but after a while the goofiness turns into fun and I got into the swing of things.

One of the few movies I've really enjoyed lately.
Sims 3 and signature unclear.

I did not recognize him at all. He definitely got bigger for the role and looks great.

It was a fun movie that I quite enjoyed. Great action and a solid story. I agree that the characters, despite being not the best people, were sympathetic for the most part.

Taylor-Johnson has been in a lot more than just Kick-Ass. Even recently. He didn't really get bigger for Bullet Train compared to how he normally looks.

I just watched it too. Hadn't even heard of it until this thread. I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. What are they going to do for a sequel?

The sequel will be on a bus that has to keep going 60mph or it will explode.

Yeah but since it's a sequel it will star Jason Patric

How bloody is it? (Mrs Kub not a fan of bloody action/horror movies)...

It's rated R for violence and language. But the violence is over the top, as is any scenes of the aftermath. On a scale of 1 (Little Mermaid) to 10 (Faces of Death II), I'd give this a 5.

For all the violence that it has, I don't actually remember it being that bloody.

It was very stylized. It mostly was found in the Yakuza scenes, if I remember correctly.

The wedding scene in particular was quite the blood-fest.
