Getting blocked off from El Guapo really limited me — I had great troops and could have annihilated him but had to grind to get there. I had hoped a Destruction ritual on Pandemonium would get me excommunicated to travel freely, but it resisted both times. Another 3-6 turns and I would have occupied it properly.

Lord willing, I really wanted to feed my Gorgon some of Zarathud's legions.
But he wasn't.

I had to make mine work. I think, just getting out of a comedy show (the Machine).

Actually, that was me. I misunderstood the mechanics though and thought I would get credit for the kill, but I didn't. Meaning I won't be able to achieve my vendetta. Oh well.
And I probably shouldn't have told you all that.

In a non-OO game, I managed to defeat the Angelic Host using the Sons of Typhon (boosted by another legion and a strategem). Did the rest of the devils thank me? They did not.

FYI, I'm headed out of town tomorrow for an extended weekend, so I may not be able to get my next turn in before the timer expires. If that happens, the respectful thing to do is let my AI replacement win.

I believe that the turn timer for the game is set for 72 hours, so assuming you get a turn in today and that you're back by Monday I think you'll only miss one turn.

I didn’t realize Strategems were not applied until that phase of combat. Otherwise my Infernal Artifact would have ended the Vendetta. And I didn’t check movement — I thought I had a second shot to sneak by to end the Vendetta.

At least I have a new place of Power to offset my losses.

I also had one (maybe two?) strategems on the PoP that reduced opponent infernal. So it might not have been the timing of the strategem, but rather that my decrease infernal strategems counteracted your ones increasing infernal.

WOW... so... the new patch is up and the changes are significant.

I was talking to my friend (Andromalius in game) and we wondered if we should continue playing this game, but also start up a second game to play alongside it so that we can see how the new patches effect the balance. Maybe once AWS260 returns?

Looks like the DLC is out. Do you know whether we all need to buy the DLC if any one person is going to use it, or does it work if just some of the players have the DLC? I imagine at least that only the people with the DLC can use the new archfiend, but not sure if there are other DLC-specific changes that everyone needs.

But generally I'd up for another game along side this one.

IIRC, you only get the fiend and no other extra stuff. So I assume only the person with the Archfiend needs to own it.

Also... not to be "that guy" but does the design of Belphagor remind anyone of caricatures of a certain political figure? Is that intentional?

Anyway, I'm happy to set up another game when the others chime in.

I put up a new game - join code 351456.

I went ahead and picked the new archfiend to give him a whirl. Though honestly I haven't found my game experiences to be *all* that different with different archfiends.

Do we have six people interested in a second game? At four currently. If we're short of six I can restart a new game with fewer archfiend spots. Or maybe I can start the current one with fewer than the max, not sure.
