No Labels - The Oligarch's second front

Post by malchior »

Great thread from Rick Wilson today. Essentially he is trying to unmask No Labels who have been floating Joe Manchin amongst others to challenge Joe Biden as a "third way". In reality, it's just the oligarchs setting up a second front to try to build a permanent underclass in the United States. They do this by peeling off voters so that they get a Republican who will continue to lavish them with preferential tax treatments and other perks. Many of what I call "radical centrists" such as the "Problem Solvers" caucus in the House are aligned with this mission. They are here to ensure that most of us get poorer while they get wealthier.

Unrolled here
If any of you are still bamboozled by Nancy Jacobsen and Mark Penn's @NoLabelsOrg's actual intentions let me hook you up. They claim to be moderate, centrist problem solvers who are running a 3rd part effort to "give Americans more choices." Nancy is one of DC's most powerful, influential, and connected players. A Swamp Empress. Richer than God. She and Mark Penn are angry, though. Very, very angry. At whom, you ask?

Well, Democrats.

They were exiled from Clinton world. Obamas, same. They've been on a jihad ever since. Mark has dozens of Fox hits defending and praising Trump. Their major donors are the EXACT same billionaires funding Ron DeSantis.

(Yeah, Nancy hides her donors, but girl, your org leaks because your staff hates you.)

They formed No Labels as a long con, a way to break the Democrats, get rich doing it (and again, they are VERY rich), and punish their imagined enemies. They branded it as "centrist problem solvers" buy their plan to run a 3rd party candidate this year was anything but.

No Labels operating with purely dark money
No Labels’ bid to run a third party presidential candidate in 2024 has sparked a number of questions about political motivations. Chief among them: Who, exactly, is paying for this thing?

The centrist group consists of a constellation of entities, some of which disclose donor names. But the main one is a nonprofit which, unlike political parties, does not have to reveal the names of its funders. And in an interview with POLITICO, its CEO, Nancy Jacobson, declined to do so, saying simply that it was a “mixed” pool of individual contributors including “people that want to help our country.”

...

At least one major donor has been Harlan Crow, according to a former No Labels employee who was granted anonymity to speak freely about the group. Crow is hardly the mold of a centrist statesmen yearning for a more moderate era of politics. Crow is the GOP mega donor who funded lavish trips for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
I continue to maintain No Labels is almost certainly oligarchic wealth trying to protect their rents.

That's because they don't want to be labeled... as oligarchs contributing to putting down the working class in favor of retaining wealth for those who hold the most wealth...

Remove "almost". Remember this?
Manchin told the assembled donors that he needed help flipping a handful of Republicans from no to yes on the January 6 commission in order to strip the “far left” of their best argument against the filibuster. The filibuster is a critical priority for the donors on the call, as it bottles up progressive legislation that would hit their bottom lines.
Oh, and some names:
The call included several billionaire investors and corporate executives, among them Louis Bacon, chief executive of Moore Capital Management; Kenneth D. Tuchman, founder of global outsourcing company TeleTech; and Howard Marks, the head of Oaktree Capital, one of the largest private equity firms in the country. The Zoom participant log included a dial-in from Tudor Investment Corporation, the hedge fund founded by billionaire Paul Tudor Jones. Also present was a roster of heavy-hitting political influencers, including Republican consultant Ron Christie and Lieberman, who serves as a representative of No Labels and now advises corporate interests.

The meeting was led by Nancy Jacobson, the co-founder of No Labels.
Black Lives definitely Matter Lorini!

Also: There are three ways to not tell the truth: lies, damned lies, and statistics.
