I got 165 by just bashing away. Hit it when it comes back each time, don't let it swing past the stick.

Now, I've forgot what I was searching for...

However, I'm learning about a new person and have decided to create a new Pandora station.

Cuban-American Celia Cruz was honored with a Google Doodle on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. Cruz is often referred to as 'la Reina de Salsa', or 'the Queen of Salsa.

Looking at the doodle and your description, I'm going to say she inspired the costume designer character in the Incredibles who I think was also named Edith.

I vaguely knew of her calculating prowess but had no idea about her book.
Wikipedia wrote:In 1977, she wrote The World of Homosexuals, the first study of homosexuality in India. In the documentary For Straights Only, she says that her interest in the topic came out of her marriage to a homosexual man, and subsequent desire to look at homosexuality more closely in order to understand it.

The book, considered "pioneering", features interviews with two young Indian homosexual men, a male couple in Canada seeking legal marriage, a temple priest who explains his views on homosexuality, and a review of the existing literature on homosexuality. It ends with a call for decriminalising homosexuality, and "full and complete acceptance—not tolerance and not sympathy".
Pretty amazing range.

I saw that yesterday (didn't see the caption underneath it) and thought the colors were based off the olympic colors, not the symbol for the gay community.

Either way it's cool.

Rings
The symbol of the Olympic Games is composed of five interlocking rings, colored blue, yellow, black, green, and red on a white field, known as the "Olympic rings". The symbol was originally designed in 1912 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, co-founder of the modern Olympic Games. According to Coubertin, the ring colours with the white background stand for those colors that appeared on all the national flags that competed in the Olympic games at that time. Upon its initial introduction, Coubertin stated the following in the August, 1912 edition of Olympique:
...the six colors [including the flag’s white background] thus combined reproduce the colors of all the nations, with no exception. The blue and yellow of Sweden, the blue and white of Greece, the tri- colors of France, England and America, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, the yellow and red of Spain next to the novelties of Brazil or Australia, with old Japan and new China. Here is truly an international symbol.
The flag of Ireland wasn't a thing until the Easter Rising of 1916, and Ireland wasn't an independent thing until 1921, and its Olympic committee founded in 1922. Jack Yeats won their first medal in the 1924 Olympics, a silver medal under arts and culture for "Swimming".

Percy Lavon Julian
Percy Lavon Julian (April 11, 1899 – April 19, 1975) was a U.S. research chemist and a pioneer in the chemical synthesis of medicinal drugs from plants. He was the first to synthesize the natural product physostigmine, and a pioneer in the industrial large-scale chemical synthesis of the human hormones progesterone and testosterone from plant sterols such as stigmasterol and sitosterol. His work laid the foundation for the steroid drug industry's production of cortisone, other corticosteroids, and birth control pills.

Oops
Google has said its Google Doodle honouring a Japanese Go player on the 70th anniversay of D-Day was uploaded in error and issued an apology.

The Doodle for June 6 originally featured a stylised image of Honinbo Shusaku, a professional player of the traditional Chinese game Go, and was displayed on Google.co.uk.

The picture was later taken down and replaced with a Remembering D-Day link, free from pictures, to the search engine's Cultural Institute.
...
Google.co.uk, Google.com, and Google.fr all display the link to the D-Day archive, while Google.hk and Google.co.jp still display the Honinbo Shusaku image.
...
Google said the D-Day information on the Cultural Institute had always been planned for the date, and how it had created new content, including partnering with the Mémorial de Caen in France.
...
Peter Barron, the search engine's director of communications, said the company had " always intended to highlight a new exhibition of imagery and archive material commemorating D-Day on our home page."

"Unfortunately a technical error crept in and for a short period this morning an international doodle also appeared. We're sorry for the mistake, and we're proud to honour those who took part in D-Day," he added.

Today's google doodle was designed by an 11 year old and is quite beautiful:

I love all the moving parts on the picture when you go to the search page.
