Massive physics fail.

A jet going into that dive to restart the engine wouldn't be able to pull out of it like that. Even if it somehow could, the speed would have snapped off the gear as soon as it tried to deploy.

(Russian military movies always play fast and loose with physics: T-34 literally dodges a German Tiger's shot, etc.)

My favorite time loop film to date has been Edge of Tomorrow (or Live Die Repeat). Aside from just "getting better at things" and figuring out the trigger to stop the day, they do a good job of showing the main character (Cruise) developing strong emotions over time that leads to constant suffering, and that he's clearly worked a lot of angles. And the time loop wasn't just a "morality lesson" - they squeezed some SciFi paste on it to spice it up.

When I watch those movies, I end up wondering how many lifetimes of days go by. I think I read somewhere that they did the math on Groundhog Day, and based on the skills he developed and knowledge he had, he may have been trapped in that one day for over 32 years.

Also....Team Kong, baby.
I don't see how it's even disputable that Godzilla would win. They are both giant super strong monsters, only Godzilla also has claws and (more importantly) radioactive breath. He's the only one with a deadly ranged weapon!

By submitting to his superior opponent, I imagine.

Also...where's your national pride! Kong is American! He's apple pie and the Star Spangled Banner. He's a hairy Captain America for our times.

There is no way they will make either one the "bad" guy.
They will team up. There will be many sequels.

I'm not saying who should win, I'm saying who would obviously win.

Also, is Kong American? Isn't he from Skull Island?

Don't underestimate Kong's superior primate brain vs. Godzilla's primitive lizard brain.

Skull Island is an American territory like Guam, Puerto Rico and New Jersey.

Google tells me that Skull Island is generally 'located' near Indonesia, and there seems to be no indication that it's an American territory.

ALSO - where is Kong's birth certificate???

If Kong is the good guy and is Captain America, are we to assume that Mothra and it's webbing is Paste-Pot Pete?
