Remus West wins a pot of 2300 chips. Isgrimnur is out in 2nd place. Thanks for playing and better luck next time. Please give feedback on the mechanics of this game in the Gaming in General thread.
Remus West is your first lOOngmont winner! All hail Remus West!
Thanks go out to everyone who participated. I've got some feedback to give on this tournament when I get a chance to post about it. If anyone has a problem with me revealing their hole cards, please make your case now (PMs are fine if you feel like getting nasty ).
I fear it was a foregone conclusion that Remus was going to win. Hand 48 was going to be relatively neutral (RW: [ ]; Is: [ ]; Board: — likely a small pot no matter how you slice it), but Hand 49 was going to be (another?) cooler:
RW: [ ]

Board:
Yeah, full house over full house.

The Meal's 2010 Longmont Tournament — fin
Once Remus started checking, I was pretty sure he was slow playing me. I was just hoping to get something to help. I almost folded at 450. Not like that would have helped, as I was so hand poor that I would have easily died on that Full House hill.

just want to be certain the cards you were dealing in this game are the same deck we will be using Saturday. It seemed to love me the last couple months.

I thought you could only use 2 of your personal cards, not all three.

My initial thoughts were the same, so I went back and reviewed it.
While the final hand listed for Remus isn't proper, he would still win:
Board:
Hand:
He's still got the boat over my two pair, just a smaller one.

Oops! You're right. It was the three 10s that Meal listed as part of the winning hand that threw me for a loop. Of course, I hurt my back again and am drugged up, so I'm not thinking 100% clearly (like I do that, anyway ).Isgrimnur wrote:My initial thoughts were the same, so I went back and reviewed it.

I only used the 10s from my "hand" the pair of 7s were on the board. The 7 in my hand was not used. Meal listed it correctly.
used from my hand
used from the board.

Or, you know that way, too. I forgot the specifics, I just knew that the end result was the same no matter which way it was drawn up.
