Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
Winter sale cards:
If you’re Steam Level 5 and above, you’ll get a North Pole Noir Sale trading card once you view all the items in your daily Steam Discovery Queue. You can continue and go through your Discovery Queue two more times each day to get a maximum of three card drops each day. (If you reach Steam Level 5 before the end of the sale, you’ll be granted the cards you earned by exploring your Steam Discovery Queue during the sale).
It's almost as if people are the problem.

That's a lot of cards. I'll craft once and sell the rest, probably.

No, that was the Summer 2015 sale.

But yeah, when the STEAM servers load-balance, it should be easy enough. It keeps crashing out when try. I would love to be in the room where they're trying to figure out how to open more pipes or whatever it is they do to deal with this. I envision red lights and actual steam pipes blowing off.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
For those that care, crafting the North Pole Noir badge earns you a standard reward (profile background and emoticon) - both of which aren't marketable for 7 days from the point of creation.
Cards are currently selling for around $.10 each, so view your queue and make some coin.

You also get one for every $10 spent, as in every sale since trading cards.Isgrimnur wrote:Winter sale cards:

Looks like each card is a 'mystery' until that day of the sale hits. Cards 1 and 2 are no longer mystery, having a title and art.

Wooooo! How suspenseful of our Steam overlords! Getting chills just writing this.Isgrimnur wrote:Looks like each card is a 'mystery' until that day of the sale hits. Cards 1 and 2 are no longer mystery, having a title and art.
(snark not directed at you of course, but at Steam's lowering of the sale "game" bar, IMHO)

They also appear to be tied to the comic that they're deploying day by day.Carpet_pissr wrote:Wooooo! How suspenseful of our Steam overlords! And depending who you ask, maybe even more:
I tend to doubt it myself. It begins with the theme of the Steam sale comic: it’s about a detective named Gingerbread Jake. Taken in collusion with item names like “Follow The Clues,” some Steam users think Valve is subtly pushing them to play detective. There’s already an entire subreddit dedicated to the cause.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
For those that aren't aware, trading in STEAM is totally different than it used to be. You can simply send someone a request with what you're offering and what you'd like and even if they're not online, they'll get a prompt when the log in as to what's being offered. It's a crap shoot to see something posted here so just send an offer right through the client as they'll be notified with a message. So much better than it used to be.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
Card 3 just won't drop. I have an 8 for a 3, but most of you are too cool for Steam Mobile authenticator, so your trades will be delayed for 1-3 days. Ain't nobody got time for that.

So apparently I have almost all of them. It looks like I'm missing an 11. And, according to the page, apparently everyone I know has a copy. Though I don't know who might have 2 copies.
I have an extra 2 (Zippy's Demise). I would be delighted to trade for an 11.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
Hmmm... So yesterday I ran through 3 Queues and got no cards. I thought maybe I'd hit a "limit" of some kind. But now it appears that it just didn't want to give them to me yesterday.
I now have a Taffy (not sure what number that is), a 10, and an 11. All up for grabs.
Well, not the 10. I'm sending that to Isg.

Re: Steam Trading Cards discussion
The queues and cards reset at noon every day just like the sales normally do. If you hit it too early, that might be a factor.
And thank you kindly.
