Two 2019 sports titles are nothing to sneeze at, even if the current group is lackluster.

Playstation Plus will get Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 and Horizon Chase Turbo tomorrow.

If you're a PS4 owner and PlayStation Plus subscriber hoping to settle down with a quality football simulator next month, you're out of luck. In an unprecedented move, Sony is swapping out its line-up of PS Plus games for July.

Subscribers had been promised free access to Konami's PES 2019 football game as part of the online subscription package this month, but it's now being removed and replaced. Instead, you will be getting the vastly different Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe edition from developers Quantic Dream.

Which I just spent $20 on ordering from Amazon.

Konami gave a short, but clear statement to Gamespot earlier today which blamed Sony for PES 2019 being removed.

“This decision was made by Sony and so please make an inquiry to Sony.”

Gamespot is also reporting that a brand manager for PES also told the outlet that he had no idea that the change was going to happen. “I cannot really tell you what happened because I just found out today, in the morning when I opened my laptop. I can’t really explain.”

Sony itself hasn’t given a detailed or specific reason for pulling PES 2019 from the lineup. In statements sent to both Eurogamer and Gamespot, the company apologized for causing any “inconvenience” but didn’t actually explain why they removed the game at the last minute.

I was looking forward to PES and had just bought Detroit: Become Human 3 weeks ago, so yeah, kind of bummed too.

There is no Gold anymore, its all Ultimate now and it is the best deal in gaming.

Gold is still a thing. GamePass Ultimate is basically Gold plus GamePass.

Whew. It's Darksiders 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight. Pretty solid offerings and I own neither of them.

...a deal over at Microsoft that gets you a month of the company's Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service for $1 or two months for $2. Normally, a Game Pass Ultimate membership—which wraps Game Pass for console and PC together with Xbox Live Gold—costs $15 a month. This offer has admittedly been live for a while now, but Microsoft says the $2 deal is set to expire on September 30. (The company declined to specify when the $1 offer will end.) Plus, you could still turn the discount into an even better value with the right planning.

To explain: we noted this back when Microsoft first ran this deal earlier in the year, but when you buy Game Pass Ultimate, the company will still turn up to 36 months of existing Xbox Live Gold (or non-Ultimate Game Pass) subscription time on your account into the all-in-one membership. That means you can stock up on Xbox Live Gold first—which many Xbox players will buy anyway to play online—then add up to three years of Game Pass to that prepaid time for $1 total instead of the usual $10 (for console) or $5 (for PC) a month. Put another way: after getting three 12-month Xbox Live Gold codes for $60 each, you could get three years of Game Pass Ultimate for $181 instead of the $540 it would cost at full price. (Or two years for $121 instead of $360, one year for $61 instead of $180, etc.)

I'm confused by this one as it sounds too good to be true. I currently have an Xbox live gold membership until Jan. 31st of 2020. If I grab a 12 month code for gold and add it to my account to extend it out another year past that, then take advantage of that ultimate deal, will I be upgrading my Xbox live gold account to Xbox game pass ultimate until Jan. 31st 2021 for 2 dollars? Or just two months of it, then it converts the remaining time according to this conversion list from their site?

1 month of Gold to 20 days of Ultimate

3 months of Gold to 50 days of Ultimate (1+ month)

6 months of Gold to 79 days of Ultimate (2+ months)

12 months of Gold to 4 months of Ultimate

edit: Used their instructions and grabbed two 12 month gold codes from amazon and added them to my account (turn off auto renewal on your account first and then select the option to turn on autorenewal each time you add a code to your account to grab an extra month free for each code added!). Then I clicked on the link in the above article for the 1 dollar Ultimate free trail. It asked me if I wanted to convert my account to ultimate and I accepted. I then checked my subscription page and I've got an Ultimate account until 5/31/22. Excellent!

Hmm I might actually play "The Show" at least for a bit. I haven't played it in many years. (finished The Last of Us last year I think)
