Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms
You mean they are giving away a free-to-play game for free?

Isn’t Idle Champions free to play to begin with?

Comes with all kinds of paid "stuff" that lets you speed up the hamster wheel. I am thinking of running it on both STEAM and Epic at the same time just so I can then have maximum idle gaming.

FWIW, I actually did spend time playing it on STEAM and enjoyed it, which I was not expecting.

I was going to do the same thing but fired it up “just to take a look”. I just looked at the clock and I should have just uninstalled  reminds me of clicker heroes. A good fun way to waste some time.

Wow, yeah... I wouldn't have even installed it, but then you guys mentioned logging in to get the free stuff. I played it actively for 90 minutes straight. Never tried this one before, though I definitely spent far more time than I should have with Cookie Clicker and a couple of others back in the day.

It's neat because it seems to advance the genre to being more about the strategy of planning leveling and formations, but I'm annoyed that you're encouraged to be hands off. Like, if it's not to see the silly story develop, what's the point?

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg

I read an article that noted it has been a year since GTAV was the free game, so there is an expectation that next week's game will be a biggie, which no doubt I'll already own

Personally I'm hoping for Train Simulator 2021 with all 628 pieces of DLC.

One Steam review reads, "Buy a real train... it's cheaper!"

I would be excited by that if I didn't feel I had to pay the game's value in microtransactions to enjoy the single-player campaign.

The game is showing as free for me right now. Maybe it just took a while for the systems to set the game as free.

Pretty decent sale, too!

I just bought Hades for $10, and Far Cry 4 ultimate (all DLC, season pass etc.) for like $4.99

Thimbleweed Park (which never goes on sale) for $7 (FINALLY)

I've been putting off getting it because I'm not sure I'll like it, but now it's a no-brainer

I'm glad I didn't pay full price for Half-Life 3, I'm sure it's going to show up as a free Epic game someday

I claimed my $10 coupon during the current sale and picked up Grindstone for $5.99.
Jesus said, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body."[Matt 10:28] God can totally destroy us.

Jesus also said, "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”[John 6:40] Eternal life is conditional.

His disciple John wrote, "Whoever has the Son has eternal life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have eternal life. [1 John 5:12] Eternal life is optional.

They're giving away some sort of pay content for... or at least that was what it said before the free game switched over to Control. That is also what they did for Idle Champions.

Edit: If you let the news cycle you get redeem "a bonus code Genshin Epic"

So regretting not getting this because I already had it in Steam and the free games on Epic are largely spam for me. Anthology upgrade for $30 would be a no brainer for me. Having a hard time justifying $40 for Anthology on Epic (with coupon) or Steam (for owning base game) but I'm thinking about it. Looks like I have about a week to decide.

That'll learn me not to just log in every Thursday and to take everything no matter what.
