Earnings to date are about $500 since Jan 1, which more or less covers the costs of the server. I do need to do some cleanup on our cloud backup site as I was warned it's getting full (it's not rolling automatically for some reason so I need to SSH in and clean it up manually once in a blue moon).Carpet_pissr wrote:How are we on the ol' "keeping OO afloat, financially", front?
Any current or pending needs?
+1. This will help me remember a lot.KKBlue wrote:
oooh wow! Love the red lettering to help support OO. Funny how one change can make a difference.

I have the same link you do, and all my stuff has shown up on those occasions when the 'bought' list has been posted here.Bakhtosh wrote:When I clicked on the OO link at the top, I was redirected to this page:

That doesn't look good. It COULD be my work's ad blocker (won't let me follow any sponsored links in google searches), but usually that just blocks the page, not redirect me to another page.
FWIW, I use this link for my Amazon purchases
http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&tag=octopoverl-20" target="_blank
When I clicked on LM's link, it worked. The top of page link still doesn't. Using Chrome Version 29.0.1547.66 mLordMortis wrote:For whatever reason when I click on the link on the top of the page I get redirected toIsgrimnur wrote:The one I have bookmarked is:

But I don't when I click on your link.

That's right, that's all that really matters. Top links work for me?LawBeefaroni wrote: I'll let someone else tell us if that's significant or not. As far as i can tell they both have the important "tag=octopoverl-20" part but that's where I bow out.
What skin are you guys using for the forum under chrome? Perhaps I screwed up a link in one of the templates.stessier wrote:I'm also using Chrome Version 29.0.1547.66 m and the top of the page link gives me the "null" link mentioned above.
This. If I switch to prosilver, it breaks.Blackhawk wrote:Works fine in Chrome/Black Pearl.
Then don't do that, thank you for calling OO support and have a nice day.Isgrimnur wrote:This. If I switch to prosilver, it breaks.Blackhawk wrote:Works fine in Chrome/Black Pearl.
Ok I'll fix it later this morning, hard to do via iPad on a train. Chances are I'd really screw it up.Isgrimnur wrote:This. If I switch to prosilver, it breaks.Blackhawk wrote:Works fine in Chrome/Black Pearl.
You know, I think this may have been borked for a while. I tested it and I never remember seeing that address string before, all I saw was the string with "null" in it. But it took me to a page specializing in video and PC games on amazon, so I thought it was working. You may have been missing out on my filthy lucre.FishPants wrote:Ok both Prosilver and Subsilver2 were borked link wise -- should work fine now (I've tested all of them).

I'll have to take a look at it.. I think you're the first person to ever use it (which means unless you buy shitloads there, we won't get commission from it). I'm Canadian and 99% of the stuff I buy online comes off Amazon.com where possible -- .ca has a pretty crappy selection.Moat_Man wrote:Ahem.Moat_Man wrote:The link to Amazon.ca in the OP just takes me to the Amazon.ca site without any URL modifier like the Amazon.com link. I don't always buy from Amazon.ca, but when I do I buy Dos Equis.FishPants wrote:I'll have to take a look at it.. .ca Link fixed. Looks like it was sort of working, but Quarter earnings were only 2-3 bucks, they won't send a cheque out for that amount. Not sure if that's due to link, or there aren't enough Canadian purchases.silverjon wrote:Not the first, but apparently you've not seen a penny from my Amazon.ca purchases.
Yeah, to be safe I empty my cart, close browser, and re-open with the OO link.silverjon wrote:I think people have established that a preloaded cart won't give appropriate credit. Meal said he adds things to wishlist, then clicks through and moves them to the cart.
I don't know if that works. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Like I said, to be safe I put stuff I want to buy in my cart. Then I cut and paste the list of stuff in my card to notepad, then I empty my cart and close the browser. I go through the OO link and then paste stuff into the search bar and add to cart and then purchase.Carpet_pissr wrote:Waiiit a minute. So we can "MOVE TO CART" stuff from "SAVED FOR LATER" and OO will still get credit? I base that assumption on the fact that someone mentioned that you can transfer from a wish list.
I ask because I tend to keep lots, and I mean LOTS of stuff in my SAVED FOR LATER section of the cart since you get price alerts on it (something that you don't get if you use the wishlist).
I just did this for two boxes of cat litter. Be interesting to see if it shows up for OO.LawBeefaroni wrote:Like I said, to be safe I put stuff I want to buy in my cart.
