For those of us who cannot get away until odd hours of the day or night, PMs are our method of playing and staying active--we can talk our way into and out of tricky situations, as the game warrants.

I'm afraid someone can have my spot. Appreciate the invite.

OUT.
Sorry to hear that, triggercut, as I'm sure your participation would have been interesting. I will say that in the last game I ran, ezmate was on vacation for a good portion of it, so he could only participate at night, and he was able to have quite an impact on the game.

Well, crud...I've been tempted to pass on this game since I tend to obsess over them. Now, I've been cited as an example of how to play the game & not require tons of time...

I'm still on the fence, though. I'd hate to get lynched during the day & not have a chance to defend myself and I really can't afford to be playing this game at work (it killed my productivity 2 Fridays ago).

Guys, I'm gonna pass on this one. I'll spend too much time on it and waste time at work typing up 2 page responses to Grund's arguments.

Good luck - I'm jealous!

Dude, my production at work during the last game was 102%. I was more productive than I had to be.

How is this possible? I keep finding my mind wandering back to the game & wondering how to win the game. I'm very obsessive about these sorts of things.

Well now. I feel offended!

Sorry to lose you, ezmate, you're a great player. Looks like I'll be needing more volunteers for the game. But don't feel bad about dropping out.

Well, I've heard back from everyone except for Soulbrother#1 and Leigh. Since Leigh never comes around these parts no more, I've removed her from the list. I'll keep Soulbrother#1 on there for now, but essentially there are 2 spots to fill. So, we'll see if anyone else wanders into the thread and wants to play. I'll start it up as soon as we get the other 2 slots filled.

Hey, I have a question regarding the hunter. If the numbers are even, 4-4, 3-3, 2-2, or 1-1 can the hunter use his ability to shoot one of the players and thus forstall the end of the game (or win in the 1-1 case)?

Nope. If at any point in the game the number of Werewolves equal the number of non-Werewolves, the Werewolves attack and win the game.

It seems pretty likely that no one else is going to be signing up for the game, so I'm going to go with the 20 that have signed up. Since we are going with 20, I made a small adjustment to the rules. Instead of 3 Masons, I lowered that number to 2. I don't feel comfortable when the number of special roles opposing the Werewolves hovers much higher than 35-40% of the total number of villagers overall, as it tends to favor a strategy of everyone revealing their roles at the beginning of the game, which kinda hurts the spirit of the game, I think. So, before I go to bed tonight, I should have all of the PMs sent out to everyone, letting your know your role. I'll get the writeup out as soon as I can as well.

The small town of Linoge doesn't appear much different to an outsider. The people get up everyday early, and work hard at their day's labors. If you look to your left, you can see Remus West, working hard to teach the children of their village their letters (rumors persist that one related to Remus once killed an entire village almost single handedly) Further down the street, you can see setaside hard at work mopping up outside of Chaosraven's "Men's Palace". Allow your gaze to linger for a second, as rumors also persist that those related to setaside traditionally live short lives that tend to end "tragically". Off in the distance, you can hear the great LordMortis attempting to hock his latest book, "Speaking Succinctly", a followup to his last book, "Get to the F***ing Point!"

Once the day's labors are complete, the good people of Linoge return to their houses, and, at times, like to speak with each other about many subjects, ranging from serious law topics to whom would they allow to urinate on their bodies. (Narrarators note: Michelle Monaghan, looking like she did in "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". Definetely)

Today, however, the moods of the townsfolk is more reserved and depressed then normal. A certain doomed feeling seems to linger in the air. Evil is afoot, and the town is about to learn what fear truly is.

It is now NIGHT. Once I hear back from everyone that has to ask their questions and the 1st victim is chosen, the game will advance to the first day, and the discussions can begin.

I guess it's time to read the rules and start asking questions. I'll be with this thread in a few minutes...

Edit:

OK, now I've read it. Can I start leveling accusations now? You're up awfully early Mr ChrisG, aren't you?

AND GO TO BED.

The door shut again and Snufkin entered his forest, with a hundred miles of silence ahead of him.

Ok I admit it. I signed up twice and received the Berserker Werewolf and the Werewolf Hunter as roles.

So be careful as I haven't decided which side to help. Either way I'm on the winning side.

Plus I get to eat and shoot someone if y'all try to lynch me.
