RMC's backtracking is almost as bizarre as his initial vote for Triggercut. How strange.

The sequence of events.
  • You're silent.
  • A couple of people (which is a lot in a 9-person game, I guess) pile on RMC.
  • triggercut calls them out for it.
  • RMC accuses triggercut.
  • Several people do a spit take.
  • RMC gives a plausible explanation, and holds to it when pressed.
  • triggercut, famously known for retaliatory votes, seems to accept that account.
  • theohall suggests that silents, including you, be poked.
  • Suddenly, you (a) appear in response to the mere threat of a poke, and (b) complain about RMC's explanation (since that's where the most recent action was) even though it made sense
That makes it look, pr0ner, as if you were twitchy about being named and eager to deflect.

DA RULEZ!!!

16. Monday day turns will be allowed 96 hours from start of game to arrive at a majority on a particular player to test by execution. Subsequent turns will be allowed a maximum of 72 hours from the announcement of nighttime victim and thus commencement of the day turn. The following conditions apply:

a.) If the Village are unable to reach a majority on the player to be tested by execution, the day turn shall be closed by the Moderator, and the game will advance to the night phase with no players executed that turn.
b.) Saturdays and Sundays shall be counted as one-24 hour time block, instead of two.
c.) American holidays will be excluded from the time blocks. The Commissioners may rule that certain US "Monday" holidays (Labor Day, etc.) cause the entire preceding weekend to be excluded as well.
d.) In the interest of fairness, the Commissioners shall have the power to "stop the clock" in the event of forum outages, UFO invasion, or other Acts Of God.

Ooops. Thanks for posting that Newcastle. I guess I need to double check the rules that were set up for these things. I will add the deadline to vote count posts from now on.

How can you claim Triggercut has accepted RMC's account? Triggercut hasn't posted in the thread since RMC explained himself. For someone whose analysis of obvious facts is generally flawless, this is very much unlike you.

Early Observations:

- Isgrimnur casts the first stone. Seems a little out of character for his usually more cautious play. However, Isgrimnur has been called out for being silent recently in games where he was evil and in games where he was good, so maybe this is the newer, more active Isgrimnur, good or bad.

- theohall seems the most bloodthirsty. The problem is that good theo and bad theo are both bloodthirsty.

- Newcastle seems the most helpful. (If he were Lassr, he would be evil :)). Newcastle, though, seems generally helpful, good and bad.

- Grund is quite active. In his two recent evil games, he was much quieter (at least the first day or two in BSG). Although, with Grund, the one thing I've learned is that there is no predicting him game to game, so I don't know what to make of him yet.

- pr0ner did appear when poked, but that doesn't seem out of character for pr0ner, good or bad.

- bb2112 is the most quiet. (He just edged me out for that honor. ;)) It is a workday, though, so I'll give him time to post tonight before I read anything into that, knowing that bb2112 is usually anything but quiet.

- RMC seems the most careless/distracted. Nervous evil careless or good villager distracted?

- trig is active and engaged. I am curious to see what his response is to RMC's explanation for RMC's "mis-vote" on trig.

I'm not sure where I'm going to place my vote yet. I've got a pretty good idea, but I'm going to let it percolate a bit.

Nope, just trying to set a framework for the game, rather than blindly thrashing about.

Well, you're wrong about at least one of those. But you're wrong in a way that, oddly enough, makes you look fairly innocent.

The fact that triggercut is trying so hard to make something of it, and doesn't appear to be joking around, is the most suspicious thing I've seen all game.

Interesting. Grund said that RMC's explanation sounded plausible, and that when pressed RMC stuck to his guns.

I said I also found it plausible...but I'm not sure I'm totally buying it (and it still seems a little odd.)

The only communication going on is between this villager and another person in this thread. I've got no one else outside the thread to communicate with or to steer my votes.

On the other hand, you breeze in, cast a vote on theohall, and 9 minutes later tell us that it's been a rough day at work (which, sorry about that), and that you'll read the thread and cast a vote afterwards.

Perhaps not the only explanation, but a plausible (there's that word again) one to me is that someone told you to vote for theohall and you mixed up the order of your posts. You weren't actually interested in reading the thread to see if there was a morsel of a clue, you had already decided--based on a PM maybe(?)--that you were going to vote for theohall before you even clicked on this thread.

And so now we have two player who have acted quite curiously and made obvious slips in game in the brief time we've been going (namely you and RMC) posting accuses on theohall.

Are there other things that could explain this? Sure. Absolutely. But you and RMC both are behaving very oddly in the thread so far, and you both had your votes on the same player at that point, and that, to me, smells awfully funny.

Really?? This is what you come up with? First of all, glad you think myself and BB are so super at being wolves we would have fumbled on day one. Oh wait, that wasn't a compliment.

I am not the best at this game, but if I was a wolf I would play it better than that.

Second my vote on Theohall is a play right out of your book, he accused me, and after I screwed up, I accused him.

So barking up the wrong tree about me, see how I did that bark = wolf, (haha). I am not sure about BB, or anyone really. But I am not on team evil here.

Nope. Just 2. You and Grund.

You are aweful defensive. Not the normal self assured, grab them by the throat and never let go Trig. Not only that, the time sequence on the posts I pointed out is very strange.

I think I'm going to stay with my vote.

That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad.
