Bloodborne would be nice too. Although I half suspect it's probably going to turn out to be something like The Order which nobody really wants because we have much better shooters on PC anyways.

Days Gone, published in the spring of 2019, was the first console game by Bend Studio since 2007’s Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow for PlayStation 2 (though they had worked on several handheld projects). Days Gone received mixed reviews at launch, with most of the disappointment leveled at its repetitive gameplay loop. Still, the game has developed a following in the two years since, and is part of the 20-game PS Plus Collection offered to PlayStation 5 owners with a PlayStation Plus subscription.
Play Station/Sony has said that they are going to start bringing a number of their formerly PS only games to PC:

https://www.theverge.com/2021/2/23/2229 ... s-jim-ryan
Steam still has this listed as Spring 21 and coming soon. I played just played through this on the PS5 since it was included in the PlayStation Plus Collection, and it was one of the bigger titles that I hadn't played. I'm sure the improved frame rate, cumulative patches and faster load times made for a better experience than if I had bought it at launch.

First, I want to say it's a solid game. I enjoyed it and got the platinum. I can understand the middling reviews though. It was hampered a bit by expectations and by a focus on scope over polish. It just never achieves the rarified air of its Sony stablemates.

Just think about this run of releases Sony had:

Horizon Zero Dawn
Nioh
God of War
Marvel's Spiderman

Days Gone

Death Stranding
Ghost of Tsushima
The Last of Us Part II

There were some smaller releases in between, but those were the big ad campaigns. In that list you have better stories, better characters, better combat, better open worlds, better acting, better graphics and much better polish. On it's own, it's a pretty good game. It suffers from the comparisons.

It's also a big game. It can take 40-60 hours to complete. With one big exception, the core gameplay loops will remain the same. You'll just be doing them with more and better toys and a bigger health bar. The exception is the big feature of the game, huge zombie hordes. Most of the game, triggering the hordes is either instant death or a mad dash to your bike to escape. Late in the game, you'll finally be strong enough and well equipped enough to take on the hordes. I have to wonder how many people played the game and never made it that far. That's too bad since it's a crazy mix of planning, improvisation, panic, tools, toys, environmental hazards, skills and luck. The feeling of relief and accomplishment after killing off a large horde is pretty amazing.

With some editing and polish, it could have been among those greats. As it is, if you want to experience the fantasy of being a heavily armed outlaw bike surviving the zombie apocolypse, it's a fun ride.

Wow, it looks like Uncharted 4 is next in line. I totally would not have expected that given that it's one of Sony's flagship franchises, but I'm quite interested in checking it out.

Yeah, Uncharted 4 is an interesting one given that it ties a lot of loose ends from the first 3 games, so I have to wonder if they also plan on making the remastered trilogy available on PC as well. There's a lot of dramatic history in the series that would be lost to players if only the 4th one were available.

Wow, this is a big one and one which has been often requested. I didn't think they'd actually do it, mind you, but the Uncharted series is finally coming to PC. Uncharted 4, that is. Personally, I found it a bit of a long game, but there it is. Maybe they'll eventually make the original trilogy available. I just realized we talked about earlier, but this is more of a confirmation.

I tried God of War three times and could never get into it. The world they created was astounding, but nearly every gameplay mechanic bugged the hell out of me. Trying to hit three of those gorram bells with a throwing axe about made me put my controller through the screen. I'm definitely in the minority there though.

Fun fact: Dickie Bennett from Justified (Jeremy Davies) plays the big bad.

I actually thought those bell puzzles were actually kind of fun. It was all in the order of how you hit them and finding the vantage point to hit them all. They never were impossible.

Seems like Playstation's PC ports have been fairly successful for them, seeing as they'll get a new label now called Playstation PC. This could hint at more coming too.

I have always been a PC only snob, but reading this thread made me realize my son left his PS4 in my garage. I hooked it up and am playing The Last of Us in Hi Def. I hate the controller, especially for aiming, but I suppose I will get used to it.

I did enjoy it at first, but the story was pretty easy to see coming. After I had decided that I wasn't feeling it, I read the synopsis and pretty much called it after the first 10 hours. For me, the loop can become an annoying grind if the story isn't up to snuff.

As you said, I think it needed some fleshed out side areas. I mean, you have this huge map, but I never really found any reason to explore it. The gas went down waaaaaay too fast for exploring. One time, I did get stranded...walking the bike back wasn't fun. :(

That's awesome and all, but when are we going to get Spiderman? As much as I've loved Days Gone, that's the Sony exclusive I really want to see on PC.

Dunno, but I have my doubts about Spiderman coming to PC. Everything at this point have been original IPs that Sony has decided to bring over. Even if they own the character, they might be prevented from having it on anything other than their console.

I don't mind. Maybe I need to be proven wrong more often to make things a reality! I'm quite surprised by this one because I thought it'd have more legal loopholes than the other exclusives. Interesting since there's a story relating how before the game landed at Sony, and it had been shopped around at Microsoft, and could have been an XBox exclusive. I don't know how that would have worked seeing as I thought Sony owned Spiderman as an IP?

Movie rights are sold independently of TV rights and video game rights and board game rights and toy rights, etc. Marvel owns Spider-man. Sony had the movie rights.

I do wonder how much of the PS5 shortages are helping this happen. Granted, I know porting and testing games likely takes a long time (long before they realizes shortages were imminent), but given how well the Playstation titles are doing on PC, I would think it's certainly helping to justify continued support of this? Either way, I think it's great and I'll continue to support the idea.
