Bush approval rating
Last I checked, Clinton was pulling over a 70% approval rating in this forum of mostly well educated, erudite, thoughtful citizens. And this for a man who admittedly couldn't keep his pants on in the White House. So how do you rate the Bushmeister's performance for his four years?

Re: Bush approval rating
I think of this as the same reasoning behind why many Americans connect with George W. Bush; they see him as a common man like them.Jaymann wrote:Last I checked, Clinton was pulling over a 70% approval rating in this forum of mostly well educated, erudite, thoughtful citizens. It's the same with Clinton. I've never met a man who did not share his enthusiasm for a good BJ

The difference being that Clinton grew up lower-middle class (or even poor, by some standards) and worked his way up, the stereotypical American dream. Bush has been rich his entire life -- far richer for much of it than Kerry -- and really never had a real job until his mid-to-late 40s.

Zarathud: The sad thing is that Barak Obama is a very intelligent and articulate person, even when you disagree with his views it's clear that he's very thoughtful. I would have loved to see Obama in a real debate.
Me: Wait 12 years, when he runs for president. :-)
