Fellowes Cross-Cut Shredder, $19.95 out the door (YMMV)

Post by Anonymous Bosch »

Office Depot (B&M stores) currently have the Fellowes Confetti-Cut Shredder on clearance for $19.95. It's basically a medium duty cross-cut shredder which usually retails for $50 - $79.95 + shipping.

Here's a picture and description courtesy of Dell:

The P450C-3 Confetti Shredder from Fellowes® provides security during document disposal and quiet operation for shredding in cubicles, making it ideal for home office environments. It is built to shred paper, staples and credit cards with the incorporated Powershred® cutting system. The shredder shreds up to 6 sheets at a time or up to 300 sheets per day. With an entry width of up to 9", the device shreds the paper into 5/32" x 2" confetti cut particles. This shredder comes with a large 3.5-gallon wastebasket with a window to see when the basket gets full, thereby keeping the surroundings clean.
This deal only seems to apply to B&M stores, so YMMV.

Having said that, you can order through the Office Depot web site and arrange for in-store pick-up (assuming your local Office Depot still has them in stock).

Here's how you do it:

Go to the Office Depot web site and add a box of paper clips to your cart. Then click on "View Cart" and choose in-store pick-up and pick a local store.

Now that your checkout page is configured for in-store pick-up, go back to continue shopping and search for item 784024. Either it'll show discontinued or it'll show it's available for that particular store. If it shows discontinued then change stores and try again. Once you find it, complete the order for in-store pickup (price on the web site will show as $19.95).

Going through the web site should at least save time and gas. Also some stores might not have the unit on display, but it could still be in stock on their upper shelves.
