[TV] Simpsons

Last nites episode (4/5/09) involved Moe finding love. Not real original but funny, touching and bittersweet. Likely to be one of their all time best. For you Futurama fans, it was as good of a episode as the one where the dog sits in front of his store awaiting for the return of Fry.

I found it pretty average myself. Not a bad episode, but nothing I'd consider a classic either.

I haven't watched the show in a long time, but that's about to change.
Spoiler:
I just read that they killed off Barney Gumble on Sunday.

They didn't.
Spoiler:
It was Larry Dalrymple — aka Larry the Barfly

Wow, they're still making new Simpsons? I should catch up. I've missed the last 10 or 15 years.

That's a relief. I should know better than to trust the internet on anything, but knowing the show it seemed plausible.

Though it was a long time since I cared about the SImpsons, I heard the hype about this episode ("Cremains of the Day," S35E15) and checked it out. My reaction was, that's it?! Not a bad episode, though. I laughed hard at "We jump on go!"

Prior to this, the last Simpsons episode I saw was "Holidays of Future Passed" (S23E9), which was very good.

Oh man, I used to love the Simpsons. But I only rarely watch it. Usually for the Halloween episodes. I didn’t stop because I hated it though. I think it just became too much over time.

Edit: fixed singularity issue

I've been watching in the background on Disney+. Something that stood out to me is that it seems like every, or maybe every other episode, there's a suicide "joke." The number of times that someone put a gun to their head was really jarring. And not just Moe (which is a recurring joke).

I've been catching up so not sure if it's just the more recent seasons or if it's always been like that but I don't recall it being a constant trope.

Please. A high hepcat is just hepcat with even less sense and even less funnier jokes (as if THAT'S possible).
