We have one too. Signs all over it. Yellow lights blinking...all the time some idiot smashes into it. Last year or so a full sized semi tried to run it. Got the truck front out the other end sorta but the rest of it was torn in half and stuck under the bridge. Ours isn't just low its under a railroad and the railroad was there first so they dug out under it for the bridge so it dips down right under the middle of the bridge.

Sigh yes, I hate the owl. But yes, using Duolingo but supplementing it with books and YouTube lessons. Duolingo has been great for vocabulary and basic grammar. I think it's a bit weak on teaching real-life conversational language. Too many nonsensical sentences. Do I really need to know how to tell people I have a pet snail that wears a suit? (One of their chief competitors, Babbel, has a vicious ad making fun of their stupid sentences).
