I am well aware that this trailer is the Mouse working Movie Marketing Magic to the max, and yet I am totally OK with that. That was awesome. Cannot wait to be back in the theater...
Yeah, that was amazing. The Endgame reaction got me to tear up.
That made me cringe. Cheering\yelling during a movie? Dudes, the producers\actors can't hear you. You're loudness is ruining it for others.
You're not one for opening night, then, eh? Ordinarily I'd agree with you, but you goes for an opening night superhero showing, you gets the opening night superhero crowd.
It was like the opening night crowd at Attack of the Clones cheering when Yoda pulled out his lightsaber to battle Dooku. The crowd went nuts for that one.

If you go to any showing between the Thursday midnight 'sneak preview' showing through the Sunday on the first weekend you will be getting WWE-worthy stan pops. It is the way of things.

I have a similar reaction to a lot of studio and production house logo animations. Scott Free, Bruckheimer Films, the big studios (Universal especially). Even more so the versions from the 80s and 90s.

Thank you. For a sometimes-fan, what were phases 1-3 and why is phase 4 something new? I've seen most of the Marvel movies so I know about the extended infinity stones backstory, but I don't follow the finer points.

It's easiest to think of the phases as seasons, each with it's own sub-arc. Phases 1-3 wrapped up the major plot arc they were working on from the very beginning. Phase 4 is a big deal because so much was wrapped up in the last one that there are all sorts of new things happening, and nobody knows quite what.

I trust Marvel t o get this right, F4 was one of favorite comics as a child and the previous movies have been devastatingly bad which makes me a saaaaad panda.

Another aspect that makes phase 4 interesting is that many/most of the stars that made the MCU are out or on their way out.

Same here, I particularly loved the early to mid 1990s comic book run, including any appearance by Dr. Doom. The Movies just got it so so wrong.

Disarm already elucidated the use case pretty well, but lol; that's not premium theater money for a family. I'm not proud that I've paid it, but during the pandemic especially it was an easy decision for a movie we all wanted to see. $30 plus home snacks vs $70-$100 for the 4 of us to go to the theater that we can't go to anyway.
Yeah. I was thinking just for one person. $12 for a ticket, $7 for a soda, $8 for popcorn.

We went to a "eat in" theater a couple weeks ago and dropped $140 for the four of us - movie tickets and dinner. They had everyone seated 10' or more from each other and all staff were in masks.

I would love for them to give me a FF movie straight out of the 60’s that looked like it was drawn by Jack Kirby. That’s the FF that I love, followed closely by the John Byrne run of FF.

Variety
Disney has delayed release plans for several upcoming films, including “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” from March 25 to May 6, “Thor: Love and Thunder” from May 6 to July 8 and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” from July 8 to Nov. 11. With the “Black Panther” sequel jumping to November, “The Marvels” has been postponed to early 2023 and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” was bumped from Feb. 17 to July 28, 2023.

Along with the deluge of Marvel delays, Disney has moved the fifth “Indiana Jones” installment back nearly a year. The still-untitled film, starring Harrison Ford as the fedora-wearing, swashbuckling archaeologist, will open on June 30, 2023 instead of July 29, 2022.

Count me in for Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Thunderbolts.

Is the Daredevil: Reborn a reboot/continuation of the Charlie Cox version?

Edit: Yup, looks like it. AND the great D’Onofrio is back as Kingpin. Definitely in for that too.

Edit 2: Whoa, I'm seeing reports that the Daredevil return will be 18 episodes long.

Bob Iger will step down as Disney CEO and assume the role of executive chairman, Disney announced on Tuesday.

Bob Chapek, who most recently served as chairman of Disney parks, experiences and products, will assume the role of CEO, effective immediately, Disney announced.
...
Iger had been planning his succession for a while, saying at Disney’s investor day last year that “2021 will be the time for me to finally step down.” Iger has been CEO of Disney since 2005. He’s pushed back his retirement several times in recent years, and Tuesday’s succession announcement came as a surprise.

On a call with investors shortly after the announcement, Iger addressed the timing of his announcement, which happened 22 months before he was expected to retire at the end of 2021. Iger said he decided to step down now because he wanted to focus on the creative side now that major projects like the Fox merger and launch of Disney+ were behind him. Iger said he would be able to help transition Chapek into the role while serving as executive chairman.
Bob Iger to Return as Disney CEO In Surprising Shake-Up, Bob Chapek Departing
The Walt Disney Co. is experiencing a major and very unexpected corporate shake-up, as current CEO Bob Chapek is stepping down from his position and being replaced by his predecessor, Bob Iger.

The news was revealed by Disney's board of directors on Sunday. This change takes effect immediately, as Iger returns to a role he only vacated in 2020.

“We thank Bob Chapek for his service to Disney over his long career, including navigating the company through the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic,” said Chairman of the Board Susan Arnold in a statement. “The Board has concluded that as Disney embarks on an increasingly complex period of industry transformation, Bob Iger is uniquely situated to lead the Company through this pivotal period.”
