Server killer

Post by Rip »

Yes, I finally caused a power loss to the server resulting in a reboot. Soewhere around 30 minutes ago.

Damn it had been running for nearly a year non-stop. Oh well I will have to shut it down to move into the rack this weekend anyway.

What is the server here anyway, and what's running on it?

This site and much of navigatorhosting.com's other shared hosting websites are hosted on a Compaq ProLiant 6500 with quad Pentium III (Katmai)XEON 500Mhz processors and slightly over 1GB of memory. A Smart Array 4200 RAID controller is used with several hot swap drives.

At least that is true as of today. As the hosting business grows things are often moved around.
