Baelthazar is up.
And man are you and Archinerd loaded. Are you taking over Arrakis or starting an investment bank?

BTW I recommend checking out the live (synchronous?) games as well. They're pretty readily available, and playing a full game only takes about an hour or so.

Re: Dune: Imperium
I guess I didn't get to my turn fast enough. I was removed for inactivity. When I checked early evening last night, it was still Bael's turn. Oh well.
I think the async games are a hard format for me anyway. I can't remember what I'm doing from turn to turn this way.

I didn't do my turn until six or so last night, so I can't believe it timed out that fast. But I thought I was up as the first player.Archinerd wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 9:42 am I guess I didn't get to my turn fast enough. I was removed for inactivity. Re: Dune: Imperium
Honestly I didn't even know that there was a timer on asynchronous game. I knew that there was a fairly unforgiving timer in live games (~ 2 minutes per turn, get kicked out if you time out two turns in a row, something like that), but that's manageable as long as you're focused on the game. But this seems weird.baelthazar wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 11:07 amI didn't do my turn until six or so last night, so I can't believe it timed out that fast. I'm asking for details in the game Discord (including whether it's possible to let you back into the game, though my guess is not).

If each of us has a virtual sand timer then I expect a few more of you may get booted soon.
Or maybe there was just some sort of bug?
I poked around in the forum a bit, but didn't see anything mentioned.

Re: Dune: Imperium
Someone in the discord said that the timer is 3 days, and that you getting kicked was likely a bug. Sucks.Archinerd wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 11:45 pmYeah, I didn't know either.El Guapo wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 12:02 pmHonestly I didn't even know that there was a timer on asynchronous game. Re: Dune: Imperium
Yep. You just played "Reconaissance" on Carthag and blew all three of your reserve troops on a +reputation and 2 intrigue card conflict. Then, when we got tied for first place, you played a "private army" intrigue card and blew two more spice on it.
But you did get a reputation and two intrigue cards in exchange for all that stuff.
El Guapo, you're up.

robo-Archinerd just took the Fremen "hardy warriors" spot that I was hoping to use with my second turn, so baelthazar you're up.

Re: Dune: Imperium
Now Nick.
I did wonder one thing - Archie, could you have accidentally hit "resign" instead of "save and exit?" I found myself nearly clicking that because they put it RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE above save and exit.

Maybe? But I don't think so, because I got a pop up saying that I was kicked for inactivity.baelthazar wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:57 pm Now Nick.
