A leading Georgia legislator has introduced a bill that would eliminate absentee ballot drop boxes, a favored and highly-used tool last November that allowed voters to safely cast ballots during the coronavirus pandemic.
Butch Miller, the No.2 Republican in Georgia's Republican-controlled senate and a candidate for lieutenant governor in the 2022 elections, said drop boxes were a “weak link” in guarding against voter fraud, according to a statement released by his office.

Ugh. I fully expect this will pass in GA, which - of course - will disproportionally affect poor and Black communities.

My guess is if Russian sources are claiming he has documents, then he probably does intentionally, it'll be stuff we already know and they know that, and the real play there is to turn this into another propaganda boost about their capabilities.

Re: Election integrity and the transfer of power
Newsweek
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has argued that his false claims of massive fraud in the 2020 election have a "scriptural basis" while suing the House Select Committee on January 6 over a subpoena of his phone records.
The conservative pillow magnate revealed the existence of what he called a "corrupt" subpoena from the committee in a text message to CNBC on Wednesday, while insisting that his legal team had taken action to "completely invalidate" the subpoena.
...
In a legal complaint filed on the same day against the committee, its individual members and Verizon, lawyers for Lindell—a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump's false claims of massive voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election—argue that he is the victim of religious discrimination.
The suit contends that Lindell's promotion of the false fraud claims were "are motivated, in part, by his strongly held religious beliefs," noting that Lindell has said there is an unspecified "scriptural basis for" the claims.
It's almost as if people are the problem.

More likely it's the $250M+ annual revenue from My Pillow that makes him a "pillow magnate."

Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other people’s stuff.

Independent.
The National Archives received fake certificates of ascertainment that then-President Donald Trump and then-Vice President Mike Pence had won Michigan and Arizona in the 2020 election, according to a report.
The secretaries of state in those states have passed along the forgeries to the House Select Committee investigating 6 January, Politico reported.

The Independent cites Politico, which has more details.
Doesn't seem like that much of a bombshell at first glance. Looks like pro-Trump "sovereign citizen" groups sent the forged certificates to the National Archives, which notified the Secretaries of State. Not really much reason to think that Trump and his people were involved, and it's not like the certificates would have any value or do anything if the respective Secretaries of State weren't going to back them up as legitimate.

It's legit, it's just not the "TRUMP IS TOAST - WE GOT HIM!!@!!!1111" that this tweet implies. Anything for eyeballs and clicks I guess. This is one big reason why I fucking hate social media now.
I don't see anything here that ties this bs to Trump directly. Although you could make the case that we shouldn't be so laser-focused on "getting Trump" that we lose sight of the traitorous weasels all around him that supported him in his attempted subversion.

Yeah, this is meaningless from a legal standpoint. Anybody can do something like that but without certification of the various Secretaries of State, they are nothing but meaningless pieces of paper.El Guapo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 11:04 am The Independent cites Politico, which has more details.

Right, but the theory is that this was somehow workshopped by someone like Giuliani during a meeting. Basically somewhere there is an indication that things like this were suggested or tossed out as possible ways to screw with the process. In short, these actions didn't happen in a vacuum - they were encouraged from above.

If this gets tied back to Trump's inner circle then it gets more interesting. Though still not the "WE GOT HIM!!!" bombshell that guy was seemingly touting it as.Smoove_B wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 1:44 pm Right, but the theory is that this was somehow workshopped by someone like Giuliani during a meeting.
