I felt confident between guesses 2 and 3 that I had the last letter correct, and then it was just a matter of closing it out.

Re: Friday Timewaster
We aren't the only ones playing Wordle.
Wordle, a deceptively simple online word puzzle, has had a meteoric rise since its launch last autumn, from 90 daily players in November to 300,000 at the beginning of January, to 2 million last weekend. But, for its creator, the gameβs rapid success has resulted in as much anxiety as excitement.
The game has become an unexpected grassroots hit for Josh Wardle, who developed it for his puzzle-loving partner. The pair played it for fun on their sofa, and other users slowly began to join them.

got distracted and made a bad 2nd guess. Then it was nothing but sad trombone after that as I was trying to work at the same time.

In some ways it's better to get misses early and a lot of them. After 6 guesses I had still not used half the alphabet at all.

Easy game. Just drag the card into where it fits on the timeline. Three wrong answers, and you lose!

Re: Friday Timewaster
Work won't let me go there, but there is a card game along those lines that I have really enjoyed with my kids. Check out the Timeline/Cardline games, particularly the older, possibly out of print game, sadly. Cardline Animals and Cardline Dinosaurs are pretty awesome. The newer versions in the round tins, have a much smaller number of cards making it too easy to remember enough to have a distinct advantage or at least severely limit the replay value.Archinerd wrote: βThu Jan 20, 2022 2:51 pm Easy game. I haven't gotten past 10 yet.
I seem to be pretty foggy on the order of things from about 1200-1700. Got a bad break on my last game too, I put a 1963 birthday after a 1964 event.

6.003s after a couple warmups. Don't like my current keyboard so much. On a better keyboard, sure I could beat that.stessier wrote: βMon Feb 07, 2022 1:59 pm https://typethealphabet.app/

5.745 for me. It's more difficult than I first thought because touch typing seems to work against me around the whole IJKLMNOP area, so I actually find it easier to just use the index fingers.
