Hate to break up the potato/Connery courtship but...damn that's disturbing.

The icon? I don't see it. Should be in the address bar right? But then I'm on IE 5.5 @ the office so me not seeing it probably doesn't mean much.

Oddly enough, I can see it in the address bar in FF, but not in the tabs. I'm trying to play around a bit to see if it's something about the format of the file, because I can see the icons in tabs for every other site.
Actually, let me confirm that it's not working globally first. Can anyone else see the icon in the tabs of Firefox?

huh... I just tried Firefox (been playing around with it seeing if I'd consdier using it full time) and showed up on the tabs at first but then went away. I guess it flew off into the sunset
And now it goes away whenever I go to a new topic or forum after initailly loading the site in IE and Firefox.

I can verify this, and also that it shows up in all three places in 8.01b Beta.Blackhawk wrote:Opera 7x, shows up in the tabs and the address bar, but not in the Bookmarks.

Yeah, this is a "blown up" version of that very icon. (Early on the the GG days I had cleaned those icons up a bit for some black speckling, and I believe Andy implemented them into the forum software. I managed to track down the suitably aged icons off of an archived hard drive in my work PC today. They're pretty legacy. I'd imagine that either Gedd intentionally expanded the size of the icon, or the web browsers upon which it is reproduced automagically expand the size to fit some standard.)ImLawBoy wrote:Sadly, this isn't the original version that more clearly depicted a hawk carrying away a groundhog into the sunset. Well, I might be able to do something there. My photoshop skills grow in l33tness by the day, and I'll take a look at it tomorrow at work.
Alas, I couldn't begin to tell you waht it looks like now. I'm assuming Gedd didn't play with it *at* *all* (no resizing or anything), but I don't know that.
I might be able to touch it up though.

I went ahead and tweaked the icon a bit. It may take some refreshing/cache clearing to get the new version to show up though.
As for resizing, I did stretch it from 14x14 to 16x16, which is the desired size for the favicon file. I might switch it back tomorrow and just fill out the extra space with white. The browsers may be stretching it a bit on their own though.
I'll note that the stretching did not cause the hawk to turn into the frown, it was in the source man!
