That's what it appeared to be originally until someone edited it.

That's what it appeared to be originally until someone edited it.
I'm guessing it is based on the Pillsbury Holocaust from sometime in the early 90s which was picture of a 1950's house wife putting doughboys in the oven while another looked on in terror. I'd have not connected the joke then either, had the title of the picture not been called "the Pillsbury Holocaust." I'm dim that way. And holocaust joke or not it was funny at the time.
